I WANT TO INSPIRE PEOPLE. I WANT SOMEONE TO LOOK AT ME AND SAY: “BECAUSE OF YOU I DIDN’T GIVE UP.”

Starting your own business is one of the most emotional things you can do in your career. Until know I’ve build a career that was not my first choice but a pretty good second, however I’ve had to work really hard through several disappointments along the way. Having experienced 2 redundancies, companies going bust, loosening professional friendships and now leave without pay. My career as any relationship have had a very emotional journey with ‘CRAP; loads of self discovery, developing trust and forgiveness just to have the willpower to start again.

When things feels like they are falling apart and every part of myself wants to bail, I will believe that’s this is when true growth happens.

Sometimes you need to allow one door too close and for another to open but this is so much easier said than done because as a typical human being my mind kicks into self doubt, resentment, fear and I’m loosing confidence in the value of trust.

But .. there is always a silver lining and reasons why the universe is telling us to ‘GROW THE F*CK UP’! Sometimes the best thing you can do is not think, not wonder, not imagine, not obsess, and have faith that everything will work out for the best.

So here is how I’m going to GROW and try to overcome the self doubt, resentment, fear and lack of confidence to trust again. I’m going to show up. When things feels like they are falling apart and every part of myself wants to bail, I will believe that’s this is when true growth happens. If you are going through the same experience please feel free to comment or tell you growing pain stories.

  • Look Within:

They say change starts with you but it doesn’t start until you do, so let’s be ourself and follow our own intuition what’s right for us and not for anyone else. How can we improve ourselves and in return, our startup?

  • Be on the same page:

Is everyone on the same page and align in the dream of making the startup successful? Is everyone talking the same talk about your product and service?

It’s fundamental to align and work together to create success. It feels less effort because everyone is doing their part to work smarter and work towards the same goal. If your answer is no, time to reassess the original plan!

  • Stay Relevant & Flexible:

Time to emerge yourself into your clients world to understand what they see, taste and experience. This will put you in a better situation to serve their needs. What about spending time with your clients and get to know what they need? It’s important to understand the changes that impacting your startup. We have to stay current and be innovative in adapting market changes, or your target market will most likely find another business more effective in serving them.

  • Listen and Look:

How can we solve the problem? How can we improve? I feel this has been my life’s criticism and to be honest I can’t tell myself or you what to do but what I can tell you is to try and be attentive and present, be proud and take feedback and work on relationships that’s worth working on. Both professionally or personal as every opportunity to practise change is a perfect start.

The build up to help opening GROW has been a huge lesson for me and as I’ writing these blog entries I have the opportunity to discover, GROW and reflect my life and my choices. I’ve been lost in ‘doing’ instead of just ‘being’.

I would love to hear your thoughts and growing pains so please send some comments.

Welcome to your Homemade Happiness’ xo
