No one else can create your 'happiness'. And in the same light, no one can cause your unhappiness. 'Happiness' comes from within. It is 'homemade', created by you and for you. It is within your capability to create your own unique story.

What is the meaning of ‘unique’; it’s being the only one of its kind, unlike anything else.

A story is a description – either true or imagined – of a connected series of events in the journey of life. But how we describe those experiences and interpret the consequences in our lives is down to our unique storytelling style and something others can share, like and follow.

In less then 48 hours, the universe as we know it, would tell me everything we had experienced (and when I say WE there are a few more people who have been GROW’ing alongside me) since that dark and grim Monday morning in Bangkok when my life came crashing down – no job, no visa and the list goes on.

It’s been one hell of a ride! GROW has become something more incredible than we ever could have imagined and at times we thought about taking a temporary break from operations.

As I’m sitting here thinking what to write next, I’m reminiscing about the past two months of my life. Instead of giving up and sitting around aimlessly talking about all the wrongdoings we’ve experienced, we were instead motivated to take out some scrap paper and imagine how to write our next ‘survival’ chapter. We had to conquer the unknown with one unified dream in order to survive. We’ve lost some valuable teammates along the way but we have regrouped and embraced some important lessons in order to continue GROW’ing. 

In that moment, I wondered, how had I lost my head and let the real things pass me by? I got to look at the bigger picture. I’m lucky to be standing here. Everything would be ok. All my problems could be so much worse. So in that moment, I found the strength to keep going. 

I had so much doubt and fear yet I kept telling the universe, ‘don’t worry, we will be back soon serving up extra amazing nourishment and growth for you.’ As I gained clarity, I took a step back and looked at the blessings in my life and saw that a ‘hobby’ that started off so small was starting to become something unique and a journey that I was willing to take a risk for. 

If it were all taken away from me tomorrow, I would know that what we’ve created was the beginning of a brand new chapter that will continue to GROW no matter where we are in life. But right now is the moment to surrender and enjoy the blessings. 

I’m no longer afraid and I’m not alone in this journey, even if I’m dancing alone. In the end, it has all been worth it.

Here are the key lessons I’m learning right now through the pre and post start-up blues and life’s bullshit: - Golden Moments:

Look back and rediscover your own golden moments. These are moments when you felt fully alive and were at your best. I think about what I was doing, whom I was with and what was my impact on others.

- Trust Yourself:

By connecting to your inner knowing or intuition and making decisions from this place, you can overcome fear and hopefully move forward into the life that you know is right for you. - Strengths: Know what you are good at and keep improving on these strengths. This is what makes you unique. AND ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP – IT’S A SIGN OF COURAGE!
